About

A Digital Extension of My Application

I'm a Brooklyn-based honors law student preparing for university. My academic path is defined by consistent placement on the National Law Institute Honor Roll and a growing interest in how the U.S. justice system actually works.

Outside of class, I'm a community volunteer. Whether I'm translating prescriptions for elderly patrons in Russian or helping out at RIDA, I try to use what I have — language, time, and attention — to support the people around me.

Achievements

Selected Academic Milestones

Public Voice

NHS Induction Ceremony Speaker Leadership · Communication · Integrity

Being chosen as the sole speaker for my grade at the NHS Induction Ceremony was a defining moment in my high school journey. Out of the entire grade, I was one of only three speakers selected — and the only one from my class. Speaking in front of faculty, families, and inducted members built my public-speaking confidence and taught me how to talk about ideas in a way that lands with a wide audience.

Law Honors

Honors Law Program Research · Analysis · Jurisprudence

I was accepted into my high school's honors law program when I applied, and I've been part of it since. I've earned a place on the National Law Institute Honor Roll every semester. Coursework spans constitutional principles to ethical questions in modern justice — it's where I first realized how much I enjoy thinking through legal problems carefully.

Leadership

National Honor Society Character · Scholarship · Leadership

I've been a National Honor Society member since middle school. NHS shaped how I think about academic success — not as something to collect, but as something that should benefit the community. Through it I've taken part in fundraisers, tutoring, and service projects across Brooklyn.

Activities

Clubs and Student Organizations

Justice Club — Junior Justice (11th) Legal Analysis · Civic Engagement I studied how U.S. justice systems work and how laws shape society. The club sharpened my critical thinking and tied directly into my honors law elective.

Finance Club — 9th Grade Economic Literacy · Market Analysis I learned how the stock market works, the risks and benefits of banks, and how to manage money responsibly.

Sign Language Club — 9th Grade Inclusive Communication I learned the basics of communicating with people who are Deaf and started thinking differently about access and inclusion.

Culture Club — Jewish Culture (10th) Community · Tradition · Awareness I learned more about Jewish traditions, history, and holidays — deepening my connection to my heritage.

Respect the Locals — 12th, Incoming Leadership · Outreach I'm joining this year to develop my leadership and teamwork skills through outreach projects with real impact.

Service

Community Service Engagement

I'm committed to active citizenship. Over three years I've contributed more than 305 hours to community welfare and educational support across Brooklyn and Roosevelt Island.

RIDA Volunteer — 305+ hours · Since 9th grade

I've volunteered at the Roosevelt Island Disabled Association since 9th grade — helping with food storage, meal service, event setup, and digital documentation. The president of RIDA has shared that she values my work ethic and how easily I work alongside the staff.

Pharmacy Translator — Weekly · Since 9th grade

Every Friday after school I help at a local Brooklyn pharmacy, reading prescription labels for elderly patrons and translating between English and Russian for those who need it.

Math Department TA — 30+ hours · Since October

I work as a teaching assistant for my math teacher, grading exams and entering scores into the school's digital grading system. I continued the role into spring semester by adjusting my schedule around her new lunch period.
